It's me.  Your bitchy friendly  Mommy blogger here.
I know, I know, who am I to just appear out of nowhere after walking out on you so many months ago?  I mean, you were hurt.  Confused.  I get it, baby.  I'm sorry.  But I'm here now.
Even my computer gave me a hard time about logging back onto my Blog site.  It was all like, "Oh no you didn't.....you can't just log in here and start typing away like you've been typing over the last 3 months."
And even worse....
The last "real" post I wrote, was about how I was reading the 50 Shades Trilogy.  Good God, what you must have thought.....
Is she OK?
Did she survive?
Did she leave her family in search of the real Christian Grey?
Did she die trying to build a Red Room of Pain where the boys' playroom used to be?  Oh my God, could she still be in there, waiting for someone to find her?
Was she the girl Anastasia was based on and since the series blew up, she's in hiding?
Well, sorry about that.  It wasn't anything like that.

I really have no excuse, other than life.
And summer.
And I just didn't feel like writing.
So what have I been up to?

Oh there we go....There's one thing we've been up to.
~ We got 2 kittens. One of them was just on the keyboard.  I am not fully sure which one, because they look identical.
I know, I know ....twin boys, twin cats...I have a twin problem. Luckily I don't dress the cats the same.
Yet.
Who's brilliant idea was it to get 2 kittens?
No, I'm asking.  Who's idea was it?
Oh just you wait, there's a whole post, maybe 2, in that one.

These are our 2 kitties.  Yah, yah, they're adorable, I know.

~ I started a new job.  Still part time, but still new.  New job, new routine, new clothes, new people, yada, yada, yada - posts to follow.
~ The boys are turning 5.  Chris and I are turning 40, which is impossible to believe, I know, because I look so young and vibrant. And all my friends and family have birthdays within like, a one month period.
So of course, I went ahead and planned the boys birthday party (which was adorable), a little family dinner (which was simple but delish) and a surprise get together for Chris (which was so much fun) all in the same day.

Here are Chris and I at the party Saturday night. He had a blast.

I mean, why not?
It's not like I have OCD when it comes to hosting a party (or 3), so it's not like I was stressed out or anything.
~ My boys are growing up and I'm having a hard time with it.
They will be 5 on Friday.
They went back to pre-school and started soccer.
School has been fantastic.
Soccer, not so much.
Whatever.  They'll come around.
After 3 months of forcing them to play, while Chris runs up and down the field with them, they'll come around....
Won't they?

My big guys on their first day of school.  I know, I'm pretty freakin' Martha Stewart-ish, aren't I?

~ I'm dieting.  It sucks.
What the hell does that have to do with me being a blog slacker?
Dieting takes up a lot of time.
For me, it involves a lot of thinking about food.
Foods I can't eat.  Foods I wish I could eat. Foods I used to eat.
It's exhausting.
Which means exercise is out.....
You know how it goes....

So, I'd say that "I'm back!", but I know you've heard that before.....
I certainly have plenty of material, and lots of snark pent up...it has to come out somewhere.  And the safest most constructive way, is to blog about it. Fewer casualties that way.
