Let Go

A new day has come upon me

To see what I believe

To breathe

To live beyond what I know

To feel and to grow

Beyond the why’s

And shallow cries

Here to stand in the sun

The strands of warmth embrace as one

Conviction deepens within this soul

To be found, to be whole

To be still

Just be still, the calm, the serenity

The intake of pure tranquility

A lightness flows through my every vein

The scars, the pain

The tears that have stained

I released the string that held me there

I have given it all, Forgiveness I bare

A new me has come upon this day

A Strength and Faith that will eternally stay

When those who hurl their sticks and stones at me I remember who is shielding them. 

My soul is tough and wicked words bounce right off me.

I have God's strength and truth to guide me and help me let go of those people who want to tear me down because really, they actually have further to fall. Jealousy is a foul color, don't let it taint your heart. Don't let it spread like cancer. 

Just let go.
