This past Monday was Patriot's Day in Massachusetts. It is also Marathon Monday. The Boston Marathon....one of the most well known marathons in the world. I don't really know if that's true, but I think it is, which is what is most important, so I'm going to "report" it that way.
I know you are probably wondering if I ran it this year, since I am a runner.
I did not.
If you recall, I have had a few "injuries" I've been nursing this year. Athletic in nature, yes. It's been about one year now, since I started my quest to become a "Runner". I ran three times and then hurt my hip and never
exercised ran again. I'm going to go ahead and admit something to you right now. In the spirit of The Boston Marathon. It may be hard to believe, especially for those of you who know me well, so brace yourselves.
I am not a runner.
I know, hard to believe, right?
And if we're being completely honest here (which is rare, I know), I am going to have to say that I am probably not really much of an athlete at all. I know, I know. It's shocking news. Although now that I'm back to work, I find myself walking around my building A LOT, so I count that as exercise.
So everyone at work was talking about the Marathon yesterday. Some were saying they'd like to run a marathon before they die, some, a half marathon. Me? I don't even need to watch another Marathon in my life time. I am all set.
