I'm excited to announce our latest featured Blogaholic AO of Aobibliosphere™. AO has been a member for quite a while and an active member at that. Not only does he have a great book blog but also offers great blogging tips here on the network!
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi! My friends, followers and readers fondly call me AO or Ayo. I'm a male blogger although a lot of people think otherwise because of my blog's design and button. It's actually a tribute to my late Mom who was born on St. Paddie's Day. Incidentally, green is my favorite color and I love shamrocks, Celtic art and designs so finding a template and graphics was quite a challenge but I'm very happy I got the perfect one!
What do you blog about?
Aobibliosphere™ is about books - my life-long romance with them and my journey of discovery and learning. It is also a tribute to all their authors, readers, fellow book bloggers and to all the books yet to be read and written. My blog is almost a year old this November - yes! My first blogoversary is coming soon and I can't believe how time flew so fast. Aside from book reviews, I do interviews which I call "bibliochats", guest posts, book excerpts and giveaways.I also came up with this feature called "Masters and Mistresses of the Genre" where I have authors discussing why they chose to write or specialize in a certain genre.
How did you get started blogging?
It was by accident. I wanted to do a personal blog but while I was surfing the internet I came across blogs that talked about books! They piqued my curiosity so much I changed my mind about the personal blog and I decided to have a blog on books - one thing that I am very passionate about! c",)
Do you have any blogging advice you would like to share?
I wouldn't really call myself a veteran since my blog is short of a year old and I still have a lot to learn. As someone new to blogging, I could probably say that being patient is a big factor. When I was starting out, I wanted my stats and followers to multiply fast. But we all know that it doesn't happen overnight. It takes time and a lot of learning along the way. Another thing would be to have fun while blogging! It demands a lot of time as well but one should never forgot to have fun and treat it like any other hobby that gives one pleasure.
What do you love most about blogging?
I love the fact that I can talk about books and share what I think about them with people who share the same interest. I also have the pleasure of being introduced to new books and genres. Moreover, I get to meet fellow bibliophiles authors, publishers and interact with them.
