7 Ways to Get Your Sexy Back After Baby

Whether your baby was born 10 months ago or 6 years ago it's never too late to get your sexy back!

1. You are what you eat

Crappy foods = crappy feeling momma

Before you indulge remember that your body is your vessel. If you fuel the vessel with loads of sugar, empty calories or loads of caffeine in order to keep your exhausted self running, remember this, the vessel won't run as smoothly as it should. Bumps along the road will seem like huge pot holes because the poor food choices will exhaust your body due to the lack of nutrients it's getting and overworking it's doing to  process these choices.

Tip 1: Opt for foods that are nutritious and whole. Your body will be fueled properly giving you the energy needed to carry on with your day.

Tip 2: Start with your food portions to kick start your nutritional groove.

2. Get moving

As soon as you get the go ahead from your doctor to exercise, get moving. The sooner you get into the habit the easier it will be to incorporate the routine into your daily schedule. You'll also feel better too.  The longer you wait to start exercising the harder it will be to get back into the swing of it all.

2. Tidy yourself up

Don't forget YOU which is soo easy to do with everything else you have on your plate. The picture says it all...well most of them. Not sure that heels and hoop earrings are safe with a baby around but you get the idea.

Get up and doll yourself up just a bit, you'll feel good about yourself if you put some time (doesn't have to be long) into you.

3. Get out of your maternity clothes

If you're still wearing your maternity clothes long after your baby was born now is the time to store or donate them to make room for something with buckle or button.

It's hard to spend $$$ on something for yourself when you only plan on wearing them for a short period of time. I know, baby clothes are adorable and you rather spend money on your child than yourself.

Do yourself a kind favor and splurge a tiny bit for your sanity. Clothes are meant to make us feel good not bad about ourselves. Time to get your swagger on with some new sassy pants.

4. Landscaping

someecards.com - Is it winter yet? I am tired of shaving my legs. When was the last time you picked up a razor or had a wax?

I remember after 'Bug' was born I totally neglected this part of my pre-baby routine. I was lucky if I got a shower into my day let alone shaving.  Then one day I noticed my eyebrows resembled Bert's from Bert & Ernie and that did it for me. My face looked different once my eyebrows were shaped again.

Has ALL your landscaping been looked after baby was born?

For me the eyebrow change brightened my face, I'm sure your significant others face would brighten up if a few hairs were trimmed also.

5. Treat yourself

Need I say more?

6. Save your sanity and stop comparing

Comparing yourself to others that quickly bounced back into their skinny jeans days after their baby was born is not fair to yourself. Everyone's situation is different so cut yourself some slack and accept your reality that you are not one of those people and give yourself a break.

You are you and they are they.

Having celebrities give birth and then shortly after posing on the cover of magazines is again not fair. Remember, celebrities have personal trainers, personal chefs, full time nannies day and night and lots of time to dedicate to their bodies.

7. Rest your body

Dishes, laundry, tidying up and everything else can wait until after the nap. Baby naps you nap.

Sleep gives your body the chance to repair,
regenerate and rebuild the cells
. It also helps keep you from feeling like a walking zombie. Stay refreshed and get into the habit of catching up on some zzzz's.
