How to Cut a Pineapple

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love, love, love fresh pineapple!  At my house, we eat it fresh, grilled with caribbean jerk pork chops, kabobed with chicken and peppers, and chopped in a fresh pineapple salsa.  I have bought it canned in the past, but once you have it fresh, it's hard to go back.  The…

thinking of my own goodbye

that sounds very morbid, but after saying farewell to my step father, during the 6 hour drive home i wondered about my own goodbye. it is not something i’ve given much thought to, but it seemed appropriate to do so while driving the long highway home. my farewell will have to be a laugh, i’d want anyone who happened to be there to laugh and remember what a weird wally i was, how silly i used to be, and regale tales of my most embarrassing moments. that’s if anyone is there of…

Into the Light....

Finally, my cuff is done.  As I worked tirelessly on it I had an epiphany:  the effect reminded me of dawn and dusk.  The intricate black design against the soft pink stone characterizes it to most sunset and sunrise pictures.…

And this is a blog post on drugs...

Hello out there from the girl who stood up yesterday and FUBAR'd her knee, and is now flying high on Vicodin and prescription strength Aleve! It took me 5 minutes to get my ear phones on and I think I just drooled on myself.

I have to have the headphones so I can listen to my dorky music. I, apparently, cannot write without crap like Hold the Line by Toto blasting into my noodle. Rock on.

I had to explain how I hurt myself at least 40 times, too. That was embarrassing. I… Continue

What Does Governor Chris Christie & Casey Anthony Have in Common?

The politics of our country has never been so corrupt... or has it always been corrupt and I'm only now paying attention?  But it seems to me that there are many in this land of opportunity that aren't paying attention to the opportunities that are being taken away by the Republican Party.  The Republican Party has changed over the years and they no longer resemble the Republicans of the 1800s, especially our very first Republican… Continue

The Sexy Banana

For years I have been attempting to decorate my house, in the style I've noticed is popular these days.

Lots of beige.

Copious amounts of beige.

Sleek styles, no knick-knacks, everything matching and coordinated.

I was standing in my living room not long ago and thought, "what in the hell am I doing?"

I have never been a beige person. My brain, my life, is cluttered, not sleek and coordinated. I need the reflection of myself in my…

page rank of 4 and man flu for tbaoo

ok dear reader, some exciting news .. tbaoo.com has managed to achieve a page rank and today i found out it is a beautiful number, the page rank of 4. now that might’n mean much in the scheme of current world events, but hey, to me it’s like a huge reward after more than 12 months of banging on about all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff .. so in the vein of continuing to bang on, i present irrefutable proof ( ) that “man flu” is real and a lot more important than the basic easy…

The Finer Points of Me

One fun thing I've noticed about getting older, and hopefully wiser, is the ability to hone in on all the weirdness about myself. And then promptly blame my parents.

Everyone is weird. Admit it. It's when you catch yourself doing something, or observe something about yourself that's strange, you realize you're nuts.

Maybe it's just me.

Find out some weird things about me… Continue
