BE STILL MY SOUL by Randy Petersen

REVIEW

I was a little surprised when I received the book. I haven't seen a book with the uneven page edges. For a second I got the impression it was old. The book as you're reading it, appears to be a combination of so many personalities, all of them different. I remember going to Church and Sunday school and singing the hymns and never really paid much attention to anything other than the words. Reading through this book, I started appreciating the music that I remembered for some of…

CONTAGION Toxic City Book Three by Tim Lebbon

REVIEW

I had quite a few problems with this book. I couldn't relate to the characters at all. It was like they had no personalities. There was a lot of repeating things in the book. You have a character, Jack, who is the main character feels bad about the soldiers he had to kill and he doesn't let it go. I thought, what else are you going to do, they are shooting at you. He has a problem with the violence when it involves him. If not, he doesn't care.

Since the destruction was at…

LOVE ON MIMOSA LANE by Anna DeStefano

REVIEW

I have read a couple of the author's writings. I really enjoyed them. I wish I'd had started this series at the beginning inn Book One. This book is Book 3 in the Seasons of the Heart series.

The author writes mainly about the different characters in the book. Their struggles, worries, and the everyday conflicts that their lives bring. There is a touch of romance brewing in the shadows. The book is rather an unconventional romance. I think the author did a wonderful job of…

TRUE LOVE'S FIRST KISS by Heidi Garrett

REVIEW

I loved that the author put a compilation of the three books into one. Once I get started on a series I don't want to quit and wait until I get another book. There are three separate books that are connected to each other. To me they are really not stand alones. There are some of us adults who have this side of us that wants to enter into an enchanted world and leave the real world behind for a while. I am one of those. Ms. Garrett gives the reader the best of the enchanted world,…

SHADOWED BY GRACE by Cara Putman

REVIEW

The author, Cara Putman wrote a fictional story that was so interesting.A novel set in World War II about people who played important parts in the war. SHADOWED BY GRACE is Book One in a wonderful new series of novels. These are historical suspense novels that can be read as stand alones. Ms. Putman couldn't have picked a better title for the book than SHADOWED BY GRACE. The meaning of the story meshes with the title as you read through the book. Ms. Putman has written with such…

SERVICE STATION ANGEL by Lisa J. Schuster

REVIEW
Ms. Schuster wrote a lovely story about "Ernie" who was an amazing man. The author shows how a normal person can touch the hearts of people he served in his town.  Ms. Schuster put such realism in the story by using some real people and places. The characters make you feel like you're friends, neighbors or family. The characters in the book are so inspiring and they pull at your heart strings. The author was putting…

Mr. Marshall collects butterflies and Lily is grossed out by them. This BUTTERFLY PALACE will take some getting used to. There's a killer on the loose. The attacker is called the Servant Girl Killer.
