A Much Needed Girl's Day Out!

A few weeks ago I finally got together with a friend. My friend Tiffany, whom I have known since our middle school teen days when she lived three houses away from me and we'd spend the summer swimming in her pool and eating top ramen.

Tiff and my husband share the same birthday. Last year this time, things just got in the way and I was supposed to take her out for sushi for her birthday and we both got busy. This year I was determined not to let…

Vague? Ryan Jenkins says why not!

He finds himself tangled deeper into the world of darkness.  He is beginning to understand more, but there is so much more that is left unseen.  He learns the truth about himself, but sometimes it seems, that you just can't go home.  And you can't run from who you are today.

Coming Soon-Roy H. Ryan's "Hot Button Issues For Religion and Politics"

This book deals with the relationship of religion and politics and some of the hot-button moral/political issues we face as a nation.  The first part of the book focuses on the historical and political foundations for how that relationship was shaped by our Founders. The second part focuses on issues that have become controversial in both religious and political spheres. No effort is made to provide easy answers to the profound questions raised by

such issues. Rather, the author seeks…

Part III- Mark Miller's interview with the Co-Authors of "One -Volume 5-For The Love of All"

MM: It is not surprising that you are both nature lovers, as well. You obviously have a connectedness to our world. That heightened awareness probably makes you more susceptible to the solitude of a good trail or the comfort of other creatures. Well, let’s bring this to a close. Please let our readers know what they can look forward to from you in the future.

Scott: I’m in the process of writing a collection of short stories about intimate partnerships and…

Should Have Known

When Logan was a baby I was a full time working mama, I introduced him into the daycare world at roughly 6 weeks (end of maternity leave) and from that time until he was about 3 it was a child care battle. In that time I did decide to become a Lead Teacher for Preschoolers at a local church who also had childcare, perfect set up. When Logan needed me I could be there, I could feed him while the children were napping and his daycare was free *bonus*. I absolutely adored my class and…

Give Time To Our Family

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, “I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.”

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally. That night I called to invite…

An Idea . . . .

“I’m not your mother speaking to you right now” I said to Haley.  She looked at me like I’d lost my mind.

“Who are you then?” she asked.

“I’m one of the great Grand Masters of the Universe, speaking through your mother, and I’m here to tell you that you’ve been chosen to be a little master-in-training.  We have much work to do.”

And so began an idea . . . . a game of sorts.  Was it a game, a story for children, or both?  Maybe it was a parenting tool.  For our family,…

33 week pregnancy

HEARTBURN! That is the only down fall with pregnancy for me. I have it in the morning, afternoon, and at night. I take the max on the Tums... Smoothly Tums is what I prefer! ;) Other than that, pregnancy is relatively easy.

It's funny when I think how different things were with Jake verses baby #2. With Jake I could nap, relax, exercise when I wanted to, run errands, etc. With this little munchkin, I'm on the go! Chasing and playing with Jake, and keeping up with everything else.…
