How do you shorten your post and use the More link?

I can ramble on and on sometime and my post get pretty long.  I  noticed on some blogs the post are shortened and you click on more and it pulls up the rest of the post.

A little something you might like to know about me is:
My name is Patricia. I am mother of five gorgeous daughters and fourteen precious grandchildren. I have an Etsy Shop where I sell handmade children's clothing, lap, stadium and crib quilts. I take custom orders even for teens and adult.

I have always loved reading. My earliest readings was Nancy Drew. Christian fiction is what I best enjoy reading but I do read a variety of other books. Some of my favorite authors are Colleen Coble, Janette Oke, Jodie Thomas and Nora Roberts aka J.D.Robb. My blog, It's Time To Read Mamaw , will have authors as guest, book tours, book reviews and book giveaways .

As far as my education I attended Court Reporting Institute where I took Medical and Legal Terminology along with English I and II. I am now retired.
