For the most part it is going to be trial and error to see what works best for your blog! I use Adsense on my blog and do well with it but others find it is not the best fit for their blog. Your springboard blog is very specific so you may be better doing targeted ads through an outside company and you could always offer direct advertising where you put up a "your ad here" button and then link to info on advertising rates, etc...

Comment by jennifer fay on June 27, 2012 at 6:31pm: I'm new here. I've never heard of Escalate. I'm trying out Linkshare and Clickbank. I'm not sure how effective they are going to be. The most exciting thing I'm advertising on my blog is my stuff. I've got a few buttons to my Zazzle store for my photography and another awesome button for my new Etsy shop for my paper dolls. And of course buttons to my three FB pages which are for these two sites and the blog. I love it because it is my own stuff and once people come to trust me and know me and read me, they might want to eventually buy something of mine. Which would also someday include my new self published novels.

And I hate how they clutter up my web site. I'm taking them down but I'm going to look into the ones you've discussed here. Great info guys!
