FAIR DISCLOSURE: A New Jillian Hillcrest Mystery
Jillian and ex-husband Chad are enjoying a play at a local community theater when a scream interrupts the production upon discovery of a bludgeoned volunteer. When it turns out that the victim is someone Jillian interviewed for a job at her company, she becomes involved in another crime, drawn ever deeper by a second murder, an irate investor, the participation of law enforcement amateurs, an increasingly unreliable assistant, and suspicious stock trading at her company.  Meanwhile, Chad is pressuring Jillian to say “yes” to a second marriage.

About Jillian Hillcrest Jillian Hillcrest is a PR Executive at a small biotechnology company in Silicon Valley who—through no fault of her own—gets drawn into solving murders.

Jillian grew up with her mother in a small town in Pennsylvania, although they moved to California when she was in middle school. Her mother now lives in southern California. Jillian never got to know her father, as he was killed in the Vietnam War. She got married right after graduating from Cal to Chad Bradbury, who is a marketing executive at a biotech company in Alameda, CA. They got divorced after 10 years of marriage, and, quite frankly, are not sure why. They still enjoy getting together. In particular, they enjoy going to restaurants and drinking wine.

As the head of corporate communications, Jillian is responsible for updating investors, employees, the media, partners, and the community about Harmonia and its products. You might wonder about the name of the 200-person company that develops drug products for autoimmune diseases. The founder compared balancing the human immune system with singing in harmony. In Greek mythology, Harmonia is the goddess of harmony and concord.

Read our Beck Valley Books #book Reviews on Twin Flames / Love Collection by Kanta Bosniak, Author. Here's our review on the very first book in the collection called simple 'Love Poems' ...

"When you pick up any book written by Kanta you cannot help falling into her comforting, soft and gentle words yet off course in this book you find uplifting phrases and poems. It is not a book from a poet that is not the intention of this book, the unique random poems are fun, cheery, spiritual, and somewhat familiar in places. They inject triggers and thought to the brain as her soulful words are surrounded with the purpose of love, inner love, love as couples, love to the higher and the pure enjoyment of love. This is a book that will make you smile, giggle and enjoy, perhaps even bring you some comfort.

Accompanying the words are also full page unique free hand drawings, each thought out by Kanta again with meaning as well as phrases and quotes throughout.

My favourite poem immediately was Chakra Sweet and is one that I will think of everyday, very short but meaningful in purpose. Other favourites were Aloha Heart, Socks and Mind Reader.

A lovely unique book to enhance the love inside of you, a perfect book throughout the year."

Wonderfully Dysfunctional Book Review

Book Review:
There are many times when I feel like some things in my life are not normal. Some of those things are extra-ordinarily exciting while some are extra boring. When I came across the book of Buffi Neal, I felt like I was reading my own story. It felt like I was also taking on a journey on how to find “normal.” I was amazed with how she presented the different challenges we face in life and how we can deal with it. I also love how she shows what being Wonderfully Dysfunctional means.
Another thing I love about this book is that there are many reflections and thoughts to ponder. I was smiling and laughing the whole time I was reading the book. The quotes presented in every chapter are also worth remembering. It was a good way to start a new chapter. What she did made me look forward for every page.
One of the quotes I love was found in Chapter 8, The Passenger: “The only way to control fate is to let fate control you.”
This is the review I posted in Good Reads: What makes this book exceptional is that Buffi Neal starts every chapter with a quote worth-remembering. I love how she perfectly chose the right quote for every chapter :) This is the first book I’ve read with my best friend and as we go along the pages, we find ourselves laughing and smiling because of the different situations in the book. One thing I can’t forget in the book is the line “If you die while you aren’t really living, exactly when did death occur?” Wonderfully Dysfunctional reminds me of how amazing life is, even if there are some imperfections and challenges. It’s worth reading!
