BRAND NEW ROMANCE

Romancing My Love by Melissa Foster reviewed by Diva's with a Purpose

http://www.divaswithapurpose.com/2014/10/romancing-my-love-melissa-...

I loved the story line of Romancing My Love! Rebecca Rivera’s backstory draws you in and makes you want the absolute best for her. If ever there was a modern-day Cinderella that needed to be rescued by a handsome, rich Braden – she definitely fits the bill!

Life has a way of getting to you and wearing you down. When you have to put up multiple walls to mask hurt, pain, rejection, loss and betrayal – taking them down or having them knocked down is not an easy task at all. Rebecca’s past and need for control of her life has caused her to depend solely on herself – and letting go is not an easy task to do.

Pierce Braden is a fixer and a nurturer by nature. The oldest of the Braden clan raised by a single mother – he believes in taking care of those that he cares about.  The women he’s dated in the past didn’t quite fall into that category, but when he meets Rebecca (and is initially rejected by her!) things begin to change and he take serious inventory on his life and priorities.

This is a great love story! Even if you haven’t read the entire Love in Bloom series, you will be able to follow along with this novel and enjoy it just the same!

Our Beck Valley Books review of Island Fog by John Vanderslice
'a new and refreshing style'....

"A series of short stories around Nantuckett island. The stories are told over two hundred years starting in 1795.

The style of writing reminds of John Steinbeck and Conan Doyle, very unique and keeps the reader totally enrapt. As you follow the series the descriptive narrative paints an excellent image, the nostalgia involved in some of the tales reminds me of my childhood and as we move through the years, the changes in society and the movement of people it is very poignant. The novelist always leaves a twist to the end of the tale which provokes thought and let's you decide the possible outcome.

The interesting thing I found about this book is as we move through the ages people and their thoughts and morals stay the same even if everything else is changing around them. The historic and geographically knowledge and research the author has put into their writing has to be commended.

Interesting tales, descriptive characters, excellent places, makes an intriguing and thought provoking read done in a new and refreshing style, which I hope will lead to more stories. If you like good solid tales built around an interesting place with plenty to think and ponder about this is the author for you. "

Loving the series from CHRIS BIRDY The Black Pajamas is reviewed by Miki's Hope.....

"I so love this series! Bogie is between a rock and a hard place once again. One of his employees has been shot in the back and he can't tell the police or ask for their help since, well, he doesn't do things legally on the computer all the time. Meanwhile back in Florida his family is involved in a sex scandal--What does he do first? Definite slapstick here!!

Meanwhile his precocious little 4 year old is still at it. She wants to learn the Five-Point-Palm-Exploding-Heart move as seen on Kill Bill--Um--where did she get that movie-that's what Bogie wants to know!! But she is only four and something happens that actually frightens her-but will it slow her down? Have to wait for the next in the series to find that out I guess--there better be a next in this series!!!!!"

Our Beck Valley Books Review of My Dream Man by Marie Solka 'The warmth of the characters shine through'.....

"Cupid's arrow strikes in the most unexpected places and for Samantha this surprisingly happened on her routine nursing appointment at a client's home. The last thing she expected was to fall in love for a client's son, who is a scientist, so not her usual type but leaves her sensationally hot and wanting more but will he feel the same way?

The warmth of the characters shine through which is always the case with the author, both as Marie Solka and Kim Cano, you will find yourself bonding to them really quickly. She seems to bring an enjoyable tale to life, inviting you to turn page after page to see what will happen next. There are so many words to describe this book, warming, soft, gentle, mellow, its a nice all round feel good read that leaves you feeling happy to have read it and leaving you with a happy glow.

This is now the third book I've read from the author and I've got to say I'm becoming hooked, each story is so different, especially this one as her first romance, yet they are so pleasant to read. An easy book to escape into and to be carried along their journey."

Our Beck Valley Books Review of ping: The Rescue of Eden by Stuart Avery Gold

"A very awe inspiring book even though it is only 84 pages long. This is the only book I have read in the series but will definitely look out for the others andread them.

The clever use of using Ping the frog to notice and act on the changes that happen around his pond is appealing to any reader. As other animals arrive he asks them while on their travels if they have spotted any differences, especially his long time friend Kamo, the duck, and together form an alliance to put it back as it should be.

The message from the book is a simple one, Mother Nature has ruled and governed the earth well before man and she knows how to solve the problems without any intervention. On the other side of the coin is that someone will do what they think is right for themselves without thinking about the consequences of their actions on others.

A book that everyone should read and it might change their views and help create a better world for everyone. The language and simple explanations make an excellent read and I think it should be introduced to the school curriculum and if the other books are as good as this one, they should be too. The book will cause a lot of debate regarding the best way forward for the planet and nature over money? Please read this book!"

Ping the Rescue of Eden

Our Beck Valley Books review of Eclair Goes to Stella's by Michelle Weidenbenner 'A fun easy to read book that I really enjoyed'......

"Eclair is a cute lovable seven year old who you cannot fail to smile and laugh along with at some of the things she thinks or says and even misunderstands, just like a typical seven year old. She will also make you feel a little sad too but not for long as you soon start smiling again.

Eclair and her sister Meggie face a tough time as their mom has to go away because she is poorly so they have to go and live with her Grandma Stella for a while, until her dad can find another job. It's the important issues Eclair worries about like leaving behind her BFF (best friend forever) which is her first thought!

Yet with two simple words, horse and farm, as dad tells her about Grandma Stella's farm Magical Meadows, things just seem that little bit brighter. Stella has to be brave for now and learn to trust her Grandma and get used to her new surroundings living on the farm, you can feel her insecurities and sadness but her happiness shines through. Animals make the greatest friends and two lost souls, Eclair and rescued horse Lightning, help each other through their new adventure in life together.

I like how the author has also included a few little animal facts within the story itself that children can pick up without even thinking about it and the sketches in each small chapter are so much fun. The author treats you to a glimpse of the next book too, it looks like Lightning gets a new friend and maybe one for Eclair too.

A fun easy to read book that I really enjoyed , maybe that's because I'm a big kid at heart."
