Remember the movie: "To kill a mockingbird?"  The townsfolk were about to lynch someone... things were about to turn violent when a little girl steps forward and saids: "Hey" then one by one the people return her greeting... then think better of what they were about to do.

A gun did not stop the mob... only a child reminding them of their betterselfs.  Perhaps that sense of connection we all need... just starts with a simple... Hey...
